The Captain's RoomThis room derives its name from Captain Edward Ditcham who was at the time of building the house, the Master Warden of the Port of Launceston. He built the house on the same site as his Bone mill on the corner of Maitland St and Connaught Crescent. A grand Victorian four-poster bed, king size, is a dominant feature of this room which is decorated with rich navy velvet curtains. The nautical decor includes memorabilia spanning a century. The room has a built-in corner ensuite of unusual design. |

The Banker's RoomThe Bankers Room is masculine and original. A carved oak bed is the feature of this room complemented by an antique mahogany barreltop desk complete with two early local bank ledgers dating from the commencement of the building of the house. A tasteful glass-walled bathroom with spa bath and separate toilet connects. |

The Marchioness'French influence is evident in The Marchioness' room, decorated with a French serpentine bed of brass, porcelain, crystal and cast iron. The original bathroom which serves as its ensuite contains a deep claw-foot bath, a Victorian style vanity suite and a walk-in shower. An antique mahogany and American oak wardrobe with a matching cheval dresser complement the decor. |

The Governess'The Governess' is a ground floor room with an unusual barley-twist four poster bed of French Colonial vintage. The room features a glassed-in balcony that captures the morning sun, ideal for breakfasting alone (or together), but leading to the Grand lounge and dining room |

The Victoria RoomThe Victoria Room is the indulgence room of the house. It has a king size full tester four-poster bed and double spa bath to be seen and experienced by honeymooners and partners re-romancing their relationships. It is a room for the special occasion, enhanced by some special portraiture of the Dowager Queen. The room is a partner to The Albert which is a self-contained studio suite. When combined, they make a luxurious apartment for the mature family. |

The Albert SuiteWith adjoining doors to The Victoria next door, the Albert Suite has a Victorian half-tester bed and royal portraits, including rare prints of Prince Albert. Ideal for the longer stay, you may use the additional separate entrance. There is a full kitchen (but, if desired, we offer to cook you breakfast), a tastefully decorated dressing room and bathroom with spa bath. |

The Settlers CottageThe Settlers Cottage is a self contained rustic cottage located in the grounds of the property. It provides serenity and private views of the ornamental garden. Settlers Cottage has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, one with a double spa. |
